Pride Controls and Systems is a Chennai-based company that specializes in manufacturing and exporting gas flowmeters. These flowmeters are designed to measure the flow of fluids and utilize the Karman street effect discovered by Todor Von Karman. This effect creates alternating vortices when an obstruction is placed in the fluid's stream, and the flowmeter is able to detect the shedding frequency of the fluid, which is proportional to the flow velocity. The device can measure mass flow, volumetric flow, pressure, and temperature, and is suitable for use with dry gas, wet gas, and gas mixtures.
